When is FC 27 Future Stars Team 2 released?
FUT Sheriff's reporting points to Friday, October 16, 2026 for the second squad's arrival in packs. The date fits the event's second week: Team 1 started on October 9 and EA's official article promises additional content during Week 2.
EA has not posted a separate Team 2 date or release time on its event page. October 16 should therefore be treated as the expected date based on the schedule and leaks, not as a standalone announcement from EA. This article will need updating if the in-game release differs.

Which Future Stars Team 2 cards look strongest?
Rayan is the highest-rated item on the graphic and combines 91 Pace, 87 Shooting and 90 Dribbling. If those numbers reach the game, he should offer direct wing play with enough Physical to handle contact. Mastantuono looks more creative: 88 Pace, 87 Passing and 90 Dribbling could make him useful both wide and closer to the centre.
Mainoo has an unusually balanced CDM profile, with 90 Dribbling, 88 Defending, 85 Passing and 85 Physical shown on the graphic. Brown's 92 Pace and 83 Defending could be practical at left-back, while Kanjinga stands out among the strikers with 92 Pace, 87 Shooting and 84 Physical.
This assessment only uses the visible face stats. Without confirmed PlayStyles, roles, body types and prices, it is too early to call any item the best card in the current meta.
How do FC 27 Future Stars upgrades work?
EA has confirmed that Future Stars items upgrade through real-world domestic league performances. Outside the NWSL, MLS, Liga MX and LPF, four starts award +1 OVR up to 86 and eight starts award another +1 OVR up to 87. Attackers and midfielders can earn a PlayStyle+ for seven combined goals and assists; defenders and goalkeepers need four clean sheets.
The next threshold is 10 goals and assists for ATT/MID or seven clean sheets for DEF/GK, rewarding five-star Weak Foot. A player who already has five-star Weak Foot receives five-star Skill Moves instead. The NWSL, MLS, Liga MX and LPF use lower thresholds: two and three starts, plus two or four goal contributions; defenders and goalkeepers need two or three clean sheets.
Tracking began on October 9 and EA says live upgrades will be released on February 3. Clean sheets only count when the player features. Future Stars Academy separately lets you develop an eligible ST or CAM born on or after October 9, 2003 through four Academy Evolutions.
UEFA Star Performers: Yamal, Doué and Barcola among the candidates?
EA has confirmed that Week 2 will introduce the first UEFA Star Performers eligible for PlayStyle+ upgrades from October 17. It has not announced the squad or ratings. FUT Sheriff's second image is labelled “Prediction”, so every card shown there is speculative.
Yamal would be the headline candidate as a technical winger. Doué and Barcola also fit attack-minded teams. Until EA reveals the real items and PlayStyle+ Lab rules, their usefulness should not be judged from assumed PlayStyles.

Ultimate Scream could be the next major promotion. FUT Sheriff points to Friday, October 23, but EA has not issued a separate confirmation of that date. If the schedule holds, the Halloween event would begin one week after Team 2.
